At the 43rd Chicago TI International World Faire,
two awards were issued
The John Birdwell Award
The John Birdwell Award is selected by the John Birdwell Trustees on an annual basis, for lifetime achievements in the TI community. Although the Chicago Area TI User Group does not choose the winners, the Chicago Group presents the award because John Birdwell was a member of that user group.
The 2025 Award winner was presented to
Scott Adams
Scott Adams has been credited with starting the entire multi-billion dollar a year computer gaming industry. He wrote a series of Adventures for his company Adventure International from 1978 to about 1984. The series was written for the many different platforms of the day including the TI-99/4A in which the popular "Adventure Module" allowed you to load over a dozen different text adventures from either cassette of disk. Scott has always remained a friend and strong supporter of the TI community and has contributed videos and interviews for the TI Faire. Scott continues to produce exciting worlds of fiction which can be found at www.msadams.com - Congratulations!
